Description: Buddah's Belly is a striking bamboo. It can be grown stressed in a container to produce drastic swollen internodes that are unusual and are sure to attract your visitors' attention. When unstressed, this species is a giant clumper bamboo with long and straight canes reaching up to 70 feet tall!
Size: Can grow to 70 feet. Culms are usually about 4 inchs in diameter.
Culture: Minimum temperature 15 degrees F. Best adapted to Zone 8. Plant in full sun or light shade.
Landscape use: This bamboo makes a wonderful container plant when 'dwarfed' and is a very attractive ornamental timber bamboo when cared for in the landscape.
