Bambusa lako 'Timor Black'
Description: Timor Black's name derives from its indigenous habitat on the island of Timor. The culms are initially green, turning black with age, with some culms retaining light green stripes at the base.
Size: Can grow to 70 feet. Culms may reach 4 inches in diameter.
Cold hardiness: Root-hardy to about 25 degrees F. Best adapted to Zone 9.
Culture: Plant in full sun or light shade.
Landscape use: This bamboo makes a wonderful container plant and is a very attractive individual specimen or screen.
