Bambusa tuldoides (prev. ventricosa) 'Wamin'
Description: The Wamin plant is grown as an ornamental and the lower internodes are swollen and very short, dwarfing the plant. This bamboo makes a wonderful container plant and garden specimen. Makes a great accent to a small yard or as a beautiful low screen.
Size: Can grow to 16 feet. Culms can reach 3 inches in diameter.
Cold hardiness: Root-hardy to about 27 degrees F. Best adapted to Zone 9.
Culture: Plant in full sun or light shade.
Landscape use: This bamboo makes a wonderful container plant and is a very attractive individual specimen.
